Jakarta– PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia (PHI) held a Town Hall Meeting (THM) attended by all PHI employees in person and virtually on October 29, 2024. PHI’s President, Commissioner Meidawati, attended the THM, Commissioner Edi Eko Cahyono, CEO Sunaryanto, as well as members of PHI's Audit Committee, Investment & Risk Management Committee, General Managers of Zona 8, 9, and 10, and other members of PHI management.

In her remarks, PHI’s President Commissioner Meidawati expressed her appreciation to management and all employees for their ongoing cooperation. She reminded each employee to always adhere to Pertamina’s Corporate Life Saving Rules (CLSR) and HSSE Golden Rules as primary principles for fostering a safety culture within the Company.

"On this occasion, I encourage all employees to continuously look for optimization opportunities to support the Company in sustaining the economic viability of managing mature fields and investment in upstream oil and gas projects, as well as promoting efficiency and collaboration to achieve company targets," she said.

PHI’s CEO, Sunaryanto, presented an overview of the Company's performance in the third quarter of 2024, urging all employees to prioritize safety to avoid workplace accidents and achieve Zero LTI (Lost Time Injury) or zero incidents. “I believe human resources are the most crucial asset in fulfilling the Company's mission to become a world-class oil and gas company. Therefore, the safety of all employees is key to ensuring operational and business continuity. Let’s continue to follow safety procedures and remind one another to maintain and improve our safety performance,” Sunaryanto stated.

Commonly known as Anto, Sunaryanto noted that amid the growing challenges of managing mature oil and gas fields, the Company has achieved commendable performance with oil production and lifting, reaching around 97% of the RKAP (Company Work Plan and Budget) target. In comparison, gas production and lifting reached approximately 90% of the set RKAP target.

"In line with the company’s commitment to continued investment in exploration and exploitation drilling activities to support national oil and gas production targets, PHI has completed two exploration wells, HRN-001 and SSD-1X, along with 126 exploitation wells," Anto explained.

Additionally, according to Anto, the Company has carried out workover and well service activities that exceeded targets, with 391 workovers and 7,337 well services. “Both activities play an essential role in maximizing the effectiveness of wells and oil and gas production,” he added.

“The Manpatu development projects, POPE Adiwarna, OPLL 28 LLP compressor, OPLL Sanga Sanga Ph.3A, Sembakung 2.1, Juata development, Pamusian (SE), Sangatta Ph3, and Mahakam Reassessment have collectively contributed more than 40 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) in additional reserves. Moreover, we have also secured over 100 million BOE in new resources (2C) from the reassessment of the Sadewa Deep Structure,” he added.

In concluding his presentation, Anto encouraged all employees to continue driving efficiencies across all areas of operations and business while innovating and collaborating to maximize resource utilization. “Every small step we take toward efficiency will positively impact the Company,” he concluded.
